Membership to STAR-IDAZ Regional network is free of charge and represents an opportunity to:

    Explore the opportunities for sharing resources, including access to samples/strains of organisms, specialised facilities and expertise.

Criteria for membership

Regional network meetings are open to representatives of animal health research institutions, private companies or any other organisation or network with an interest in animal health research.

To keep the Regional Network size manageable, countries with multiple participating bodies are encouraged to designate two representatives per country.

You will also need to join the STAR IDAZ community by registering for free as an Individual Stakeholder.

How to Join

Joining is straightforward!

  1. First register as an Individual Community Member.
  2. Then submit your request to join a regional network by email to:

STAR IDAZ IRC is the "Global Strategic Alliances for the Coordination of Research on the Major Infectious Diseases of Animals and Zoonoses - International Research Consortium”. It is a global consortium that brings together funders and programme owners for research on animal health to maximise funding for coordinated animal health research. To achieve its aim, STAR IDAZ facilitates networking among funders, researchers, industry experts, policymakers and other stakeholders to collaborate on research and innovation in the field of infectious animal diseases.
