Scope

UKRI and Defra seek innovative research on the factors influencing infectious disease transmission across all species, pathogens, and environments. Projects should focus on quantitative understanding of pathogen dynamics and be multidisciplinary. Key interests include zoonotic pathogens, co-infections, fungal resistance, and the impact of environmental and social factors. Multi-disciplinary teams are strongly encouraged. Proposals should be discussed with UKRI before submission. More details can be found on the NSF website.

You must read the full information on the scope of the opportunity and how to apply on the NSF website: Ecology and Evolution of Infectious Diseases (EEID).

Prior to submitting your application, it is strongly advised that you contact the UKRI programme lead using the email address EEID@bbsrc.ukri.org to discuss your proposal. Applications that have not been discussed prior to submission may be rejected.
