Objectives & Deliverables
Project Methods
Under the leadership of the Past President of the CRWAD Council and the 2018 Programming Committee Chair, the scientific sessions have been reorganized. In the past, CRWAD had ten discipline oriented sessions: Bacterial Pathogenesis, Biosafety and Biosecurity, Companion Animal Epidemiology, Ecology and Management of Foodborne Agents, Epidemiology and Animal Health Economics, Immunology, Pathology of Enteric diseases, Viral Pathogenesis, Vector Borne and Parasitic and Respiratory Diseases.Abstracts are submitted to the programming committee that evaluates whether the date is best for oral or poster presentations. The 2017 CRWAD scientific sessions were organized by collectively grouping by subject in submitted meeting Abstracts, expanding our scientific sessions from 10 to 29 scientific topics as follows:Antimicrobial Drug UseAntimicrobial Resistance (6 sessions)Alternatives to AntibioticsHealth in Cattle PopulationsModeling and Network AnalysisEcology and Management of Foodborne AgentsVaccines and Vaccinology (5 sessions)Immunological Responses (2 sessions)Bovine Immunology (2 sessions)Swine ImmunologyEquine and Bovine ImmunologyPathobiology of Enteric PathogensRespiratory Disease in SwineViral pathogenesis (2 sessions)Population HealthCompanion Animal Epidemiology (2 sessions)Epidemiology and Animal HealthDiagnostic Testing (2 sessions)Health in Swine PopulationsImmunology mini-symposiumVector Borne and Parasitic DiseasesBacterial Diseases in CattleBacterial Disease PathogenesisViral Diseases in Swine (2 sessions)Disinfection and BiosecurityEcology of Infectious Agents (2 sessions)Respiratory DiseaseRespiratory Disease in CattleRespiratory Disease in Cattle
