Heartwater: Potential Worldwide Threats for Livestock

The vision of the Heartwater Gap Analysis Workshop was to provide a foundation for controlling transboundary tick-borne pathogens of livestock, such as Ehrlichia ruminantium.

This report provides current scientific knowledge of heartwater, identifies potential threats to livestock worldwide, identifies research needs and priorities, offers an in-depth analysis of available countermeasures to contain and mitigate threats, and deliver specific recommendations for research and countermeasure development
